Laptops and Accessories

The Oregon Tech Library in Klamath Falls has 64 laptops available for students to borrow on a first-come first-served basis. Subject to availability, there are three types of loan periods for library laptops: 2 hours, 7 days, and Term. Holds cannot be placed on any laptop. Term-loan laptops must be returned or renewed at the end of each academic term. The borrower of a Term-loan laptop has the right to renew their device for another term even if there is a Wait List for laptops, however the right to renew a Term-loan laptop expires 7 days after the laptop’s due date. If it is not renewed, it will be recalled and allocated to the next person on the Wait List. All loaner laptops must be returned at the end of the Spring term for maintenance.

Laptops can be obtained by visiting the Help Desk near the main entrance to the library. Borrowers MUST present photo identification at the time of checkout; no exceptions. If there are no laptops available when a student requests one, library staff will place the student on a Wait List. When a laptop becomes available, the first patron on the Wait List will be contacted via email and will have 7 days to pick up the laptop. If the laptop is not picked up after 7 days, the reservation will be made available for the next patron on the Wait List.

IMPORTANT: All users MUST log into a borrowed laptop on campus one time in order to log in off campus.
