This library instruction course guide is to help you to understand Evidence Based Practice (EBP) and improve researching for peer reviewed articles (scholarly articles) and medical studies needed for you RCP 441 literature review.  Included is a tutorial to create a literature review.  I offer librarian assistance to help with any research and writing assignments during RCP 442.
Note: As a student, you are never expected to pay for articles. When you hit a paywall on the internet (a site asks you to pay for an article), you have an option to get the article for free through the Oregon Tech Library. After checking Primo VE, our library catalog, if we don't own a copy of something, you may use our borrowing from another library system to acquire a copy.

Evidence-based Practice

"Evidence-Based Practice (EBP)... is commonly defined as the conscientious, explicit and judicious use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of the individual patient. It means integrating individual clinical expertise with the best available external clinical evidence from research." - Duke University Medical Center

Note: While using this tutorial, you will want to refer to "Levels of Clinical Evidence," see tab on left of page. The tutorial takes around 15 minutes to complete.
