What it is: Article Galaxy Scholar (AGS) provides immediate access to articles from select journals. The library covers all fees.
How it works: When applicable, AGS will show up as an option to obtain articles when you search the Library Catalog or end up in the catalog via the "Find it @ Oregon Tech" button.
Hit a paywall elsewhere? Grab the title of the article, plug it into the Library Catalog, and you'll see all options for getting full text from your OIT Library (including AGS, when applicable!).

What is Summit?
Oregon Tech is a member of Summit -- a group of more than 35 college and university libraries in the Northwest that lend materials to each other’s students, faculty, and staff. This gives you access to millions of items – from fun recreational books to serious scholarly works in all fields. Summit items usually arrive at your Oregon Tech Library within 5 days of making a request.
How do I access Summit?
Summit items are automatically included when you search the Oregon Tech Library Catalog. When you click on the title of a Summit item in your results, you’ll see a link that says “Request through Summit (about 5 days)”. Simply click on that link to submit your request. You will be prompted to log into TechWeb to initiate your request. You will be notified when your item arrives and you pick up at the checkout desk in the OT Library. Summit items typically check out for six weeks and you can renew them once as long as no one has a request in for the same item.
Summit Visiting Patron Privileges
Oregon Tech students, faculty and staff also have the option to visit libraries in the Summit system, set up a Summit Visiting Patron account, and check items out directly from that library. This is particularly helpful if you live in the Portland, Seattle or Salem areas (where there are lots of Summit libraries), or you are a distance learning student or faculty who lives nearer to a Summit library than one of the OT Library locations. View a list of Summit member libraries to see if you live or work near one. You can read more about the Summit program here.
