A paywall is when you're asked to pay for an article online.
The best way to avoid paywalls is to use library databases. But sometimes you see an article online that looks great and you hit a paywall. Or you see a citation for an article and you want to read the article yourself.
Grab that article title! Here's how to get full text for free.
It has billions of article records, and will point you right to one of our databases if we have full text. If we don't have full text, you can request the article through Interlibrary Loan. It's free!
Google Scholar has a large number of records, but you need to set Oregon Tech as your library to maximize the amount of full text options you get.
Go to Google Scholar Settings Library Links Search for Oregon Tech. This will put a Find it @ Oregon Tech link next to articles that Google knows we have.
If the Library Catalog (Primo) and Google Scholar don't get you the full text you need, you can request the article directly through our interlibrary loan form.
Contact the library if you encounter any problems accessing the items you need.
