Citing Your Sources

This guide provides information on the common citation styles used at Oregon Tech. 

Check with your instructor if you aren't sure which style to use for your assignment or project. 

You cite your sources because:

It gives credit to others for the work they did

It helps your reader find the sources you used

It shows that you've done your research and understand the context of your topic

It positions your own work within a larger conversation about your topic
