1. Go to re3data.org.
2. You can choose to either search with keywords, or browse by subject area. The Browse feature is located in the menu at the top of the page, and removes the need to use keywords (however, the available browse-able subject terms may not be the same terms you would use to describe your topic.) If you search, type one or two broad keywords into the search bar.
3. To get the most out of re3data, use the Filter menu on the left to limit your search. Explore the available filters. Use the "plus" box next to the filter name to expand the filter, and click the minus sign in the box to minimize it again.
4. For example, to limit to statistical data, choose Content Types, and then Scientific and statistical data formats.
In the fillable assignment document that you downloaded, complete the activities under RE3Data Repository Search, Prompt 3.
If you don't yet have your fillable assignment, open the Searching for Datasets:Assignment Questions document, go to File -> Download, and download a copy in .docx format.
