When a standard is made part of a government regulation, that standard is known as "incorporated by reference" and becomes available for free, because it is now law.
In the US, "incorporated by reference" means included in the in the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
Note: the version of a standard that has been incorporated by reference may not be the most up-to-date version.
The library does not have subscription access to the full text of standards online, but in most cases, we can still get a standard for you!
Email libtech@oit.edu to request access to a standard, and a librarian will contact you.
