How to Request an Article from Another Library

There are instances when the article you found is not available full text online.

To see the full text, you need to request the article from another library via interlibrary loan service.

There are 2 ways to do it.

Requesting Through the Library Homepage

  • On the library homepage on the right, under Quick Links, click on “Request from another library” link.
  • On top of the page, select the item you wish to request from the drop-down menu under “Request”.
  • Fill out the form, providing as much information about the article as possible.
  • Click “Submit”.

You should receive the link to the article in your email in 2-3 days.

Requesting Through the Library Database

In PsycINFO:

  • In the article record, click on the blue and golden “Find It” button on the left side of the page.
  • The catalog record for that article will open up.
  • You will be prompted to sign in inside the yellow bar.
  • Under “How to get it” click on the link “Request an ILL article or chapter”.
  • Fill out the request form.
