Remember Ursula? This is a story about how she came to be the witch of the sea. Filled with betrayal and excellent storytelling, this book has my greatest reccommendation

A story of prejudice, this book goes over the struggles of a black girl attending a predominantly white school, as well as the issue of police violence against people of color.

Long Way Down

This book discusses gun violence and the anger and frustration that come from knowing there's nothing you can do about it. It's an excellent look at the frustrations many black Americans face

Just Mercy

There is a lot of discrimination in America. This book tells the story of the author's life as a black attorney working with death-row inmates who never should've been imprisoned.
