Helpful for gathering news and history of companies and their leadership, as well as SWOT analyses, financial data and more.
Gale Business: Insights
Includes business research with interactive tools and in-depth analysis of the history, performance, and opportunities of thousands of companies and industries. You’ll find information on market, research, investment and financial reports, SWOT analyses, and articles from magazines and industry journals. Access to this database is provided by the State Library of Oregon via an IMLS LSTA grant.

Building Org Charts

Mergent Intellect (listed above) has some information on executive leadership for companies. Also check the website for the company you are researching. Another resource is Org.com, which provides crowdsourced org charts for companies:

A crowd-sourced list of org charts for different companies. They start with publicly available information and then employees at the listed company can add/correct entries. As such, the charts may be incomplete, but can be used in conjunction with other sources to build a fuller picture of the company's org chart.
